If we use your logic that the old testament in exodus says we should not work on the sabbath and this does not mean healing acording to you (even thought the early jews felt it was). Then we must clearly agree that by using the same logic in leviticus 3 when the lord says you may not EAT the blood or fat. We should take that as it is and agree that Eating does NOT equal transfusion. And therefore there should be no ban on blood transfusion

above learntoswim has claimed that working on the sabath was a law made by man and not God and jesus was mocking the pharases by not following it. However this is not true the law of not working on the sabath was from God himself.
See exodus 31
12 And the L ord spoke to Moses, saying, 13 "Speak also to the children of Israel, saying: 'Surely My Sabbaths you shall keep, for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I am the L ord who sanctifies you. 14 You shall keep the Sabbath, therefore, for it is holy to you. Everyone who profanes it shall surely be put to death; for whoever does any work on it, that person shall be cut off from among his people. 15 Work shall be done for six days, but the seventh is the Sabbath of rest, holy to the L ord . This brings me back to my original question if the Jesus regarded life above the law following him would be to accept blood in order to save a life.

In resposnse to that argument that some one posted earlier on how they would respond, if you read the verse prior to that in mathew 16:24 jesus says take up your cross and follow me, by saying this supports the jw position is wrong because following jesus would be, as i said in the first post, to not let a law override the importance of life just as he did with the sabath rule

i was researching the topic of 144,000, does anyone have any scans from the 1935 convension when rutherford made the big change about the great crowd.
or any scans from watctower articles around that time that discuss this issue and what the new rules were to be.. also, does anyone know who rutherford said would live on paradise earth before 1935, because in the millions now living book written in 1925 he had talked about abraham and others living in beth sarim, additionally he did say in the millions book at that time that many people would be able to live on earth forever, who was he referring to if all were supposed to go to heaven..

i have been sifting for hours and even though i've found lots of great information, i can't find what i am looking for.. motivated by the hurricane tragedies, i decided to become a red cross volunteer on a local level.
i had my first training on saturday and came away feeling very good about my decision.

and that prior to that there were some classes of earthly salvation but it did not appear to be his followers that would be involved in that.
Does anyone have a source for the teaching that the good jws would be annointed and the not so good would be part of the great mult. prior to 1935s change?
Additionally can someone post a scan of the page from SS vol 1 that explains who will be part of the 2 heavenly and 2 earthly classes. It would be greatly appreciated?
One last question, if prior to 1935 jws were part of the great mult and the 144, why do people on the net say that the reason for the new light of 1935 was that the 144 was getting full. If others could just join the great mult and still go to heaven , why the need for the change. Was it just to have more control and not have anything to do with the 144 getting full as many claim?

lets say today was jan 1 1932 and a witness came to the door trying to convince someone to join the organization, what would they be offering the average joe an earthly or heavenly hope. I do know they believed in four hopes (2 earthly and 2 heavenly).. And they seemed to promote the earthly one in the Millions book. So what was the big change of 1935.
